Community safety

Community Guidelines

Golf Journey is for sharing golf experiences with people you choose to connect with. Keep interactions respectful, relevant and safe.

Effective: 17 August 2026 ยท Last updated: 17 August 2026

These rules apply to social features including display names, avatars, friend requests, journey reactions, feedback messages and any other user-created content or interaction made available in Golf Journey.

1. Be respectful

Do not use Golf Journey to harass, bully, threaten, intimidate, stalk or repeatedly contact someone who does not want to interact with you. Friendly disagreement is fine; abuse is not.

2. Prohibited content and behaviour

You may not use Golf Journey social features to create, send, promote or facilitate:

  • hate speech or attacks targeting people based on protected characteristics;
  • credible threats, encouragement of violence or content intended to cause physical harm;
  • sexual exploitation, sexual content involving minors, grooming or predatory behaviour;
  • obscene, sexually explicit or deliberately shocking material;
  • harassment, bullying, humiliation or targeted abuse;
  • impersonation, fraud, scams or intentionally deceptive identity claims;
  • spam, repeated unwanted solicitations or automated abuse;
  • instructions or material primarily intended to facilitate serious illegal activity;
  • another person's private or sensitive information without permission, including doxxing; or
  • content that infringes intellectual-property or other legal rights.

3. Protect personal information

Do not put sensitive information such as passwords, authentication codes, government identifiers, payment-card details, private addresses or another person's confidential information in your display name or feedback messages.

Golf Journey lets users search for accounts by display name and, where the complete address is already known to the person searching, by exact email address. Do not use the search feature to harass or profile other users.

4. Friend requests and consent

A friend request is an invitation, not an entitlement to access another user's golf journey. Respect declined, cancelled or unanswered requests. Do not repeatedly resend requests to pressure another person.

Only accepted friends can access the shared friend journey view. Removing a friendship ends that access.

5. Journey feedback

Reactions and feedback should relate to golf, the person's golf journey or a genuine social interaction between friends. Do not use the feedback field as a channel for abuse, threats, unwanted commercial messages or sensitive personal information.

6. Reporting safety problems

If your app version provides report or block controls, use those controls for objectionable content or unwanted interactions. You can also report a safety issue directly to hampusandersson.dev@gmail.com.

When reporting an issue, include enough information to identify the relevant account or feedback and explain what happened. Do not send passwords or authentication codes.

7. Enforcement

Golf Journey may review reports and take proportionate action to protect users and the service. Depending on the circumstances, action may include removing content, restricting social functionality, suspending or terminating an account, preserving information where legally required, or referring serious matters to appropriate authorities.

Attempts to evade a restriction or use additional accounts to continue abusive behaviour may result in further action.

8. Changes to these guidelines

These guidelines may be updated as Golf Journey's social features develop or where safety, legal or platform requirements change. The current version will remain available at this URL.
